Issue One

Established October 2019, ART WORK is a new grassroots critical art publication. The inaugural issue is a text-based site of inquiry for artists and cultural workers operating on the margins. At its heart, this research is critical, generative and full of both love and anger.

“in the realm of the virtual, art—art 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬—is no longer an object but rather a space, a zone, or what Alain Badiou might call an ‘event site’: ‘a point of exile where it is possible that something, finally, might happen'” — from ‘The Aesthetics of Affect: Thinking Art Beyond Representation’

CONTRIBUTORS

Dougal Verinder-Gedge – Jamila Prowse – Kai-Isaiah Jamal – Lorén Elhili – Maria Fusco – Naomi Accardi – Rehana Zaman – Rhea Dillon – Sabrina Mumtaz Hasan – Sinéad O’Dwyer – Rene Matić
